Great Backyard Bird Count @ Both Laurel Hill Cemeteries

Calling all birdwatchers! Spend the morning watching avians of all kinds in two of the most historic and beautiful cemeteries in the country. The National Audubon Society’s annual Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) is a free, fun, and easy event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of bird populations.
Laurel Hill and West Laurel Hill Cemeteries are teaming up with experts from the Academy of Natural Sciences to host the GBBC from 8-11 AM. Bring your binoculars, water and snacks and join the fun!
This event is FREE and open to the public. Advanced registration is required at both sites. To participate at Laurel Hill, enter via the Cemetery’s Gatehouse entrance at 3822 Ridge Avenue. Free parking is located in the lot across the street from the Gatehouse and within the cemetery. Click here to register at Laurel Hill.
